We are looking a Raw Material Inspection Operator to join our HSE team. Based in Tetla - Mexico.
Main responsibilities:
- Knowledge and experience on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001.
- Performs inspections and obtains evidence of current plant conditions and identifies negative environmental aspects and impacts, unsafe acts and conditions, sharing to the areas involved the detected findings for follow-up and correction.
- Monitors the process of renewal of the clean industry certification (Environmental Diagnosis) before the Inspection Unit accredited by the Mexican Accreditation Entity (EMA) and the Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection (PROFEPA)
- Provides necessary reports to Federal, State and local agencies.
- Directs audits environmental regulations and develops and provides environmental training to employees.
- Assist in maintain appropriate metrics, evaluate data trending, and provide data input to management reviews, with a view to continuous improvement and enhancement of Enviromental performance.
- Performs internal audits in company with certified internal auditors in the plant in order to obtain the environmental compliance status of productive and auxiliary areas.
- Serve as site contact point for government inquiries relating with enviromental and Oversee permitting for air, water, soil and subsoil and applicable legal requirements.
- Promotes and executes pilot projects in critical areas in order to meet environmental objectives.
- Performs monthly monitoring of environmental indicators, in order to verify compliance with environmental objectives.
- Program reforestation in plant or in La Malinche National Park, integrating collaborators, families, dependencies, interested parties in order to participate in activities that integrate families or work teams for the benefit of the environment.
- Attends environmental inspections promoted by the different environmental agencies (State Environment Secretariat, Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection, City Hall Visits, La Malinche National Park, etc.) and / or carries out environmental procedures with said dependenciencies.
- Attends external audits of clients related to management systems.
- Quality System ISO 9001 & 17025 and internal audits
Who are we looking for?
- Technical in Environment and safety or Improvement Management.
- Written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish
- You must be able to communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to quickly form working relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Experience in managing people, having good interpersonal relationships
- Experience in continuous improvement projects, 5's.
- Skills: Leadership, team work, proactive, communication, organized, analytical mind.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Teamwork with interdisciplinary departments
- Lead Auditor Certification in Management Systems
- Knowledge of Mexican and international regulations
- Capacity for frustration and good stress management
- Capacity for innovation and creativity
