.Instructional Design / Specialist I at ShureThe Shure Audio Institute is a global provider of knowledge transfer solutions for Shure Inc., designs and develops learning materials to build credibility of the Shure brand by providing relevant training on technical topics of interest to Shure's customers. Under direct supervision, will structure and develop learning solutions for high-technology sound systems and products.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with marketing, sales, market development and product management to create training and education content.Work with audio gear and related equipment to understand complex systems.Structure, design and implement learning solutions for high-technology sound systems and products.Implement instructional courses to be distributed through video, audio, and learning management systems online.Research and validate requirements and documentation through analysis of engineering specifications and interviews with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).Take ownership of assigned deliverables; follow up with Subject Matter Experts (Product Management, Market Development, Product Marketing, etc.) and other concerned parties, as necessary.Balance workload of several deliverables to meet firm deadlines for multiple projects.Maintain an in-depth understanding of adult learning principles, learning technology, and product technology.Coordinate and contribute to instructional analysis, design and evaluation activities.Recommend instructional design methods consistent with instructional goals.Produce content using rapid-development tools (such as Captivate, Camtasia, and Articulate, etc.).Evaluate and incorporate user feedback for continuous improvement.Perform other duties as assigned.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Instructional Design or related field. Master's Degree with an internship not required but a plus.Entry level to 2 years of learning design and development experience.Experience in learning design and development skills with the ability to clearly translate highly technical information into easily understood content.Strong technical background.Experience in one or more of the following areas: the design, development, and evaluation of instructional programs, materials, methods, student support systems, teaching and assessment techniques, and on the construction of evaluation programs and studies to promote effective teaching and learning through formative and summative evaluation procedures, data sources, and instruments.Understanding of current techniques and procedures used in the design, development, and evaluation of instructional programs, methods, materials, and instruments.Advanced educational research, evaluation, and statistics; instructional applications of new technologies; research and development on learning environments (i.E. eLearning, Mobile Learning, Virtual Instructor Led and Webinars).Experience and working knowledge with authoring tools such as Articulate, Captivate and Camtasia
