Develops and manages operational initiatives to deliver tactical results.**Accountabilities**:- Develops, installs and administers the computer scenarios needed to train and test locomotive engineers on locomotive simulator equipment.- Provides new-hire and promotion training and current employee mandatory compliance training (Federal Licenses). Delivers this training at specific hiring and working locations around the KCS network and ensures delivered content meets all company and federal requirements.- Provides continuing education regarding safety and operating rules.- Ensures all technical employees are trained to work safely and efficiently.- Responsible for 100% compliance documentation of delivered training content in either a classroom, on-line, or blended learning solution to include mobile.- Maintains an ongoing process of evaluating and utilizing current and new technology to enhance the overall training process- Exemplifies KCS Vision, Values, and Culture in each and every interaction with team, clients, and stakeholders.**Required**:- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a job-related major field of study,- 5 years' experience beyond the apprentice/journeyman level in a specific craft (trade skill) can be substituted for education. in railway operations.- 5 years' experience in railway operations- 3 years - Locomotive engineer for transportation.- or equivalent combination of education and experience**Preferred**:- Post-secondary education; 3 years technical training experience and 2 years in a project management work role.- 2 years of experience as a first-line supervisor/foreman.**Essential Functions**- This position has a regular full time schedule with a normal work week of Monday through Friday.
