Our continued success depends on it!Job DescriptionJob Title: Procurement Service Manager (Procure to Pay, PtP), Manager – Insulet Global Business Services (IGBS)Department: Global OperationsPosition Overview:We are building a new (greenfield) Insulet Global Business Services (IGBS) organization to support the rapid growth of our company through excellent business services, delivered in an optimized model from a Capability Center in Guadalajara. The Procurement Service Manager will lead the set-up and delivery of global procurement services, as part of a new Procure to Pay service. The Manager will lead delivery of in-scope services to all Insulet regions and business units.There are five primary objectives of the role:Manage knowledge transfer activities during the transition of new work into IGBSLead the delivery of procurement administration services, according to the specification and designManage and resolve service issuesBuild collaborative relationships with key colleagues, especially functional leaders who are customers of IGBS servicesCollaborate to drive continuous improvement of the services, including process and experience excellence activitiesThe role is accountable for the delivery of an initial set of Procurement Administration services. At first these will be SAP master data management, purchase requisition creation, purchase order creation, and the provision of help to business users. There is a procurement transformation project working in parallel, and it is likely that additional services will be added to the portfolio, leading to possible role expansion. Initially the role will directly manage a team of four procurement professionals, but this is likely to increase.Responsibilities:Manage knowledge transfer activities during the transition of new work into IGBSUnderstand the design and specification of the services – reviewing and approving the definitions and processes of new or changed servicesWork with IGBS colleagues and collaborate with the function to document appropriate detail (this includes personally sitting with the current team to understand the detail of how they work today)Hire the delivery team in IGBSTrain the delivery teamAccredit the delivery teamTake the services liveManage parallel running, service embedding and hyper care activities, to ensure that the operation is working as expectedLead the delivery of procurement administration services, according to the specification and design.Manage delivery of the services to the required levels, achieving over time the target value metrics for the servicesTrack operational KPIs and take action where targets are not being metHire and directly manage a team of professionals and indirectly manage other team membersProvide leadership, set performance goals, and ensure that the team is aligned with the overall objectives of the serviceManage and resolve service issues.Teach the team to learn to love and identify the problemEnsure that issues are appropriately prioritized and reported transparently, using the IGBS issues logAddress issues, ensuring a timely resolution, and professional closing of the loop with colleaguesBuild collaborative relationships with key colleagues and stakeholders.Proactively develop and maintain relationships with functional leaders who are customers of IGBS servicesBuild a productive relationship with Procurement colleagues, and maintain a forward looking plan to anticipate changes in demand for IGBS servicesDevelop a regular communication rhythm, address concerns, and ensure that services meet customer expectationsChampion service catalogue awareness and usage throughout InsuletCollaborate to drive continuous improvement of the services, including process and experience excellence activities.Work with the PtP Global Process Owner (GPO), PtP Global Service Owner (GSO), and Global Process Manager (GPM) to identify, prioritize, and implement continuous improvement (CI) projects.Champion the IGBS service management framework and CI methods across the teamChampion the use of digital techniques, including machine learning (ML), digitization, robotic process automation (RPA), artificial intelligence (AI), and other established or emerging technologies in this area.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, advanced degree or equivalent preferred.5+ years delivering Procurement administration servicesDetailed knowledge of Procure to Pay processes across international markets.Demonstrated experience leading and working with industry standard techniquesExperience of GBS implementations, service delivery, experience excellence, and process automation.Skills/Competencies:Experience with ERP/MRPExperience with Microsoft AX ERP Software preferredProficient in MS Office – emphasis on ExcelExcellent problem solving and analytical abilitiesCooperative, team player and positive attitude a mustStrong service-orientationClear verbal and written communication skillsLeadership skillsIA tools/data visualization tools (PBI)Physical Requirements (if applicable):Some international travel will be required, approximately 10% to 20%.
