**Duties**:

- Serves as Deputy Chief, Information Analysis Center (IAC) in the US Embassy, Mexico City, Mexico. Works with the Chief in planning, organizing, and overseeing the activities of the IAC.
- Leads a wide variety of complex and non-routine collection and operations projects/programs to support component, combatant command, and support agency planning and operations. Manages a broad range of activities to facilitate development, execution, dissemination, and assessment of Counter Drug intelligence information within the USNORTHCOM area of responsibility, U.S. LEA, U.S. IC, and/or international security organizations (e.g. Mexican Military, Mexican Interagency organizations) ensuring a seamless interface of information.
- Responsible for overseeing, developing, and presenting fusion analysis and production in reference to TCO operational methods, capabilities, vulnerabilities, and the threat they present to US and Mexican interests.
- Exercises personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to assigned staff regarding policies, procedures, and directives.

- All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.

- Employee must maintain current certifications

- Direct Deposit: All federal employees are required to have direct deposit
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft in accordance with Joint Travel Regulations in performance of temporary duty (TDY).
- or no-notice recall to duty during exercises, crises, or contingencies.
- Employee will be required to attend periodic command and/or civic related social functions and related events after normal duty hours.
- In the performance of assigned duties, employee uses tact, diplomacy, and professionalism to promote effective working relationships with a variety of offices and agencies.
- Position is not eligible for telework since it requires daily access to classified material. Employee may be eligible during emergency or OPM prescribed "unscheduled Telework." Supervisor approval is required on case-by-case basis.
- Pre-Employment Requirement: Employee must obtain and maintain an Official Diplomatic Passport and VISA as a condition of employment.

**Qualifications**:

- This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

To qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements describes in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs**): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
- Knowledge of the policies, principles, concepts, guidance, procedures, techniques, and methodologies pertaining to intelligence research and collection methods, techniques, and practices to capture, report, and develop intelligence capabilities and threat assessments.
- Skill in assimilating disparate data, rendering knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data, and making decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure.
- Ability to communicate clearly (both orally and in writing) in both English and Spanish to provide concise intelligence products and/or presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel within the component. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions of an organization to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
- Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
- Skill working with intelligence related ADP systems and databases.

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED**:

- Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
- Most activities within the portfolio of the organization are highly classified and extremely sensitive. Access to information on elements of the portfolio is tightly controlled in accordance with DOD and Joint Staff policy. Access to certain Special Access
