Job Summary: The Intermediate Accountant is responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks to support the overall financial management of the company.
This position plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, assisting in the preparation of financial reports, and supporting the Accounting Manager in day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities: General Accounting: Perform daily accounting activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and GAAP.
Support for Audits: Provide support during internal and external audits.
Prepare audit schedules and documentation as required.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Monitor budget variances and report on financial performance.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
Support the implementation of new accounting systems and procedures.
Compliance and Tax: Assist with compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
Prepare tax filings and ensure timely submission.
Experiência y requisitos

Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience.
Certifications: Progress towards CPA or equivalent is a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
Strong MS Excel skills.
Skills: Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
