Supervises the execution of Supplier Quality & Development objectives. May lead a team of Technical / Business Support or entry level professional Quality employees. Sets day-to-day objectives for the achievement of immediate Supplier Quality & Development goals within area of responsibility.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Supervises processes related to Supplier Quality & Development initiatives, including supplier qualifications / certifications, assessments, monitoring, escape management, and / or quality issue resolution processes.
- Supervises implementation of supplier specific quality initiative strategies.
- Supervises Supplier Quality-related activities, such as raw material assessments, design of contracted manufactured items, and / or materials packaging; ensuring service providers and laboratories employ good manufacturing practices (GMP) and procurement practices meet or exceed requirements.
- Supervises processes or standards in support of the Carrier Supplier Gold program, ensuring healthy continuous improvement and sustainability.
- Supervises processes to ensure that supplier is capable to meet all requirements for work transfer and process change management including Resourcing Gate and Production Part Approval Process (UPPAP) acceptance.
**Requirements**:
- Industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, administrative engineering, electrical engineering, or related career.
- Experience as a Quality Engineer 3-4 years minimum.
- Type of employment industry (HVAC, refrigeration, metal mechanic, electronics, assembly)".
- Advanced English (conversational and written)
- Statistical Process Control or Study Capacity. (Take out ANOVA, MSA, hypothesis testing).
- Supervise quality equipment on production lines (accessories, meters, poka yokes, functional tests, hi pot, sensors, pneumatic tools, ESD. Problem solving tools (Lean Manufacturing, 8D, Six Sigma among others).
- Experience in audits under ISO.
- Project management or execution.
- Knowledge of quality metrics (FPY and Scrap)
