**Job Overview**:
We seek a highly organized and detail-oriented International Transportation Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating international transportation operations, ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement of goods across borders. You will work closely with clients, carriers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth logistics operations, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high standards of service delivery.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Coordinate International Shipments**: Manage and oversee the end-to-end process of international ocean, air and ground shipments, including booking transportation, preparing shipping documents, and ensuring compliance with customs regulations.
**Carrier Management**: Develop and maintain relationships with international & domestic carriers, negotiate rates, and ensure service levels meet company standards.
**Documentation and Compliance**: Ensure all necessary documentation for international shipments is accurate and complete, including customs declarations, bills of lading, carta porte, and export/import documentation. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
**Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution**: Proactively identify potential issues in the transportation process and work with carriers, clients, and internal teams to resolve them promptly.
**Data Management**: Maintain accurate records of shipments in our TMS system, including tracking and tracing information, delivery status, and any discrepancies. Use the company's logistics management software to input and monitor shipment data.
**Collaboration**: Work closely with the international logistics, inside sales, and customs teams to ensure seamless coordination and customer satisfaction. Support the development and implementation of strategies to improve international logistics operations.
**Requirements**:
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, international trade or an equivalent field.
Minimum of 3 years experience in international logistics, customs or similar
High proficiency in written and spoken English is a must
**Key Competencies**:
Strong teamwork and prompt communication skills are essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational and prioritization skills in potentially stressful situations
