Job Summary:Principal Responsibilities:- Builds inventory part data list and/or pricing rules in system tools to ensure supplier specifications and company strategies are met.- Creates, maintains, and audits inventory/pricing data, automated rules, pricing set-ups, margin levels, processes, configurations, cross reference detail, preference management and other related systems aspects to ensure system integrity and compliance to established governance requirements.- Proactively notifies and educates the materials, product, sales and/or other support operations team members regarding new/existing vendor pricing programs and conditions, product change updates, product end-of-life updates, price increases, process changes, price approval requirements, etc.- Tests system to ensure proper configuration set-up. Troubleshoots and resolves systems issues related to inventory and/or pricing. Resolves issues via training, updates to inventory and/or pricing file or system defects/enhancement identification.- Maintains required documentation. May provide customer/supplier analytic data for periodic business reviews and performance reports.- May establish new vendors, new programs from suppliers and/or internal customers, performs mass data loads.- May train other support operations team members regarding job role and responsibilities, systems, processes, negotiations, supplier reviews and related activities.- Proficiently applies expertise when working with system related tools.- Other duties as assigned.Job Level Specifications:- Foundational knowledge of specialized disciplines, industry practices and standards, acquired via academic instruction and/or relevant work experience of substantially the same level.- Work is usually performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion. Receives initial direction although work may be reviewed for accuracy and quality.- Collaborates with immediate management and team members within the department or function.- Actions typically affect own work assignments and department.
