.What you will do:The Inventory Planner, Supply Chain, Mexico is a regional position responsible for optimizing Cash Flow thru an efficient inventory management program while it aligns to other strategic goals such as OTIF and EBITDA. The Inventory Planner will develop best in class processes and procedures for inventory planning and management as well as for optimal safety and cycle stocks definition. It is also responsible for building a strong inventory data analytics capabilities and platform. Responsibilities will include but not limit to:- Inventory performance compared to targets on financial plans.- Delivers accurate inventory outlooks- Manages aging and obsolescence process for finish goods and purchased components to minimizes the risk of obsolescence- Maximizes inventory turnover- Quality of inventory- Optimizes finish goods and purchased components inventory portfolio- Ensures supply planning master data accuracy- Supply execution performance against plan- Responsibilities may evolve as our Supply Chain does it. New responsibilities may also be addedHow you will do it:- Develops the processes and procedures required for resilient and agile inventory management- Works closely with broader planning team to understand constraints leading to sub-optimal supply chain related practices impacting inventory management and helps to uncover creative solutions to overcome those constraints- Establishes inventory target operating ranges and monitors inventory variances from plan, and coordinates cross-functional teams for root cause analysis to address deviations- Defines standards for aging management and provides to broader team members trends and operating feedback on the level and percent of obsolete inventory, and coordinates cross-functional teams (i.E. sales, plants, engineering) for root cause analysis and action plans development- Systemically analyzes inventory for optimal segmentation purposes, optimal stocks definition, re-order points, optimal lot sizes, etc.- Establishes a system of records for master data accuracy- Establishes systemic metrics to monitor supply execution- Actively participates on Change Approval Board to identify upcoming changes impacting either supply or inventory management and communicate such to broader supply chain team- Supports S&OP and network re-balancing process to maximize utilization while minimizing unresolved demand- Continuously drives innovation and make sound proposals for planning and inventory management processes automationRequired- Degree on Engineering, Math Science, or Statistics- CPIM certification desired- Minimum 10 years' experience in supply chain- Min 5 years' experience with Supply Chain Planning Solutions (Logility is preferred)- Min 5 years' experience with ERP systems (SAP, QAD)- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel. Basic coding and programming skills are desired- Deep knowledge and understanding of inventory management concepts such as safety stocks, lead time, QOI, etc
