The Systems Analyst (SA) creates high-level technical designs for moderate complexity projects and maintenance efforts by analyzing requirements and systems architecture, collaborating with technology partners and adhering to tool standards with little assistance.- The SA assesses, documents, and mitigates design constraints and/or risks and performs design reviews to develop and support optimal IT solutions with little assistance.**Key Responsibilities**:- Creates the high-level technical designs for moderate complexity projects and moderate maintenance efforts by analyzing and tracing designs to requirements (business, functional, and nonfunctional) and systems architecture- Daily monitoring of supported jobs, tasks, etc. to ensure production systems are functioning as expected- Identifies systems and technical constraints, potential technology risks, and document possible mitigation strategies for moderate complexity projects with some assistance- Validates code to designs and requirements; conduct code walkthroughs, inspections, and reviews with some assistance for moderate complexity projects- Develops detailed estimates for moderate complexity projects; monitors and documents the technical progress of the project with some assistance- Supports the planning, conduct, and review of module and integration testing for moderate complexity projects; learn how to prepare the staging and development of test environments and conditions with some assistance- Facilitates the resolution of system deficiencies with the design team and project management; support the business inresearching technical questions- Drafts and edits operations, environment, and desktop documentation; gather input from otherappropriate team members tocreate documentationJOB REQUIREMENTS**Functional Skills**- Advanced knowledge of Visual Basic / Visual Basic Scripting- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server including the ability to write complex queries, and to modify tables- Understanding of scheduling services and working with remove servers and server logs- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel- Knowledge of Web, database, and integration technologies and languages, such as COBOL, PL/1, DB2, SQL, and IMS- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience- 2 or more years of related experience**Nice to Have Skills (not required)**- Knowledge of DOS and how to use it to perform support tasks- Understanding of Insurance industry- Understanding of change management process- Understanding and experience using Azure within SDLC
