The IT Clarios Cybersecurity Asset Management Specialist will report to the IT Cybersecurity Asset Sr.
Manager.
Primary area of responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operational IT Hardware and Software Asset management tasks
- Identification and alerting of unauthorized hardware on Clarios network considering potential risks and vulnerabilities in close collaboration with the Global IT Security Team and the Global Infrastructure Team
- Identification and alerting of unauthorized software use considering potential risks and vulnerabilities in close collaboration with the Global IT Security Team, the Global Infrastructure Team and the Global Applications Team
- Build relationships with CI class owners and Service Management Teams to improve quality & accuracy and improving also the end-to-end asset lifecycle process
- Provide functional expertise in the Software Evaluation Process considering the software capabilities and the Software Risk Assessment in close collaboration with the Global IT Security Team and the Global IT Governance, Risk & Compliance Team
- Check the accurate inventory of hardware assets and software entitlements
- Provide the functional expertise to external audit requests by collaborating with appropriate resources to ensure timely response to supplier and legal teams as necessary
- Assist the contract execution and renewals processes by providing accurate information related to license allocation/usage, and maintain open dialog regarding license footprint
- Contribute to the regular reporting on the asset management program status, plans, and deficiencies
- Drive the increased automation for asset management process efficiencies
- Ensure that the IT Cybersecurity Asset Management related tools and services are properly evaluated, selected, implemented, configured, and maintained, with appropriate integration with other sources of organizational data.
- Observe the version control of all licensed software, ensuring that only versions that are covered by the license are deployed to the business
- Identify and appropriately work on software non-compliance issues in accordance with the IT policy
- Work with End User Computing and Field Services teams to maintain and improve the standard build insofar as licensing/versions are concerned
- Maintain an approved software portal and ensure the adoption and usage of the portal amongst end users
- Maintain the non-standard software whitelist, the freeware whitelist and the software blacklist ensuring that they are always up to date
What we look for
Required
- Bachelor's degree in finance, IT, engineering, business management, or a related field of study.
- Good communication skills
- Very good verbal and written English skills to be able to communicate in a Global Team
- 5 years of related information technology experience.
- Detail oriented, process expertise to create new processes and procedures
