The company seeks to add an IT Helpdesk engineer to support various branch offices across the region. www.Geolog.ComTHE POSITIONThe IT Helpdesk Engineer is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software of the remote offices, providing end-user support to office staff as well as remotely to other offices worldwide. The position reports directly to the Senior IT Helpdesk Engineer in Dubai.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Provides direct front line software and hardware support via the helpdesk platform.Configures new user workstation equipment, user accounts, and corporate software.Updates and manages the IT asset inventory.Performs periodic maintenance on corporate client devices according to corporate policies.Supports global implementations of software/hardware.Coordinates with IT suppliers to meet corporate IT requirements.Contacts branch offices periodically to obtain feedback about any IT issues.Ensures implementation of global IT policies.Ensures issues are tracked, resolved in a timely manner, and followed up.Documents procedures and implementations.REQUIREMENTSIT technical background with 4-5 years of working experience in the IT support industry.Good understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP networking, physical wiring, switching, routing, and firewalls.Must have global certification of CCNA and MCSA.Experience with security devices such as firewalls and basic configuration of network devices like routers and switches.Must have working experience in handling tickets using helpdesk tools.Should have the ability to support users remotely using remote support tools provided by the company.Experience working with ISPs across the region with a special focus on ISP policies and procedures.Should have strong analytical skills and a problem-solving attitude.Strong experience in configuring and troubleshooting Windows 10, MS Office 2016/2019; Windows 11 experience will be an added advantage.Experience with Office 365 products in managing email accounts, Skype for Business, and OneDrive for Business.Demonstrated ability to draft and implement manuals and procedures.Strong oral and written English is essential; Italian, Spanish, or French is an advantage.Team player with the ability to work within culturally diverse environments and with minimum supervision.Role offers an outstanding opportunity for an IT engineer to rapidly develop skills and further their career within a high technology and fast-growing international environment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
