We're looking for an IT Infrastructure and Operations Manager to join the MEIS (Manufacturing Execution and Information Systems) team.
This role is responsible for leading and managing the Tijuana plant IT infrastructure and operations team.
The individual will be managing the servers, storage, network, and database infrastructure that supports the Plant shop floor systems.
Determines integrated hardware and software architecture solutions that meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security needs.
Researches and recommends technology to improve the current infrastructure and solve specific manufacturing production problems.
Plays a principal role in recommending decisions and direction on data acquisition systems, decision support systems, and plant floor systems.
Specific Functions:
Responsible for leading a technology delivery and operations team in the delivery of digital technology strategy, deployment, and operational support for a subset of the Bose global technology landscape.
Manages a team of Bose employees and contractors in the Tijuana Plant and maintains a financial budget in support of the technology under their management.
Delivers high performance and adaptable customer services experience with an understanding of business priorities and the ability to deliver leading-edge solutions in support of growth, competitive advantage, and scalability.
Accountable for executing and maintaining the long-term global technology services vision and strategy to ensure that physical and digital information assets and technologies are sustained and remain operationally resilient to support critical business functions.
Interacts with key stakeholders, requiring strong communication, project management, and analytical skills Provide the required leadership to lead cross-functional teams (engineering, IT Architects, network management teams, etc..) to manage infrastructure-related incidents and in support of manufacturing and technology objectives.
Continue to build professional business, and technical skills through practice, training, and education.
Works with MEIS manager to develop IT Infrastructure long-term strategy and annual plan.
Specific Requirements:
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in developing, implementing, and supporting infrastructure and or technology solutions
- Project management experience in implementing large business and or IT solutions
- Solid communication skills - oral, written, and presentation.
- Proven experience leading, managing, and developing large IT multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated experience implementing best business practices throughout the organization.
- Breadth and depth with actual "hands-on" IT infrastructure experience.
- Must be an effective problem solver.
- Ability to work with others efficiently and effectively in an ad-hoc environment
- Experience managing technology vendors and budget
- Abilities:
- Virtual and Cloud environments management
- IT networks knowledge and architecture
- Datacenter, operations management, and server management (Microsoft and Linux OS)
- Database servers administration (Microsoft SQL, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
- Office 365 and Microsoft products environment
- SaaS and IaaS management
- IT assets and software life cycle management
- Service Desk Management
- Fluent in English
- Supervisory Responsibility: This position has supervisory responsibility
