Laboratories' Instruments connectivity integration/maintain with Labvantage LIMS/other, already implemented and more to come. It means, developing new device drivers for future instruments connection with Labvantage LIMS/other as well as the support of existing drivers.Develop/maintain the reports required for 5 R&D Labs functions currently implemented into Labvantage, and the future functions to come (4), it is, develop reports needed to support the laboratory functions (simple or complex, dynamic reports) in Jasper tool.Your Impact As IT LIMS Java Sr. Analyst your responsibilities would consist of:
Work closely with the IT LIMS Functional Lead and It Solution Architect to stay in line with business goals and ensure the delivery is aligned with the business requirements and delivery plan.Procuring the project requirements like required information, various agreements and material or technology needed to accomplish project objectives.Manage the relationship with Labs SMEs to ensure the business requirement understanding (detailed product requirements and use cases). May include end-to-end software development starting from analysis moving on to design, implementation, QA testing and validation, delivery, and maintenance (requirements analysis process with Business SMEs, develop code using an object-oriented philosophy, write and perform Unit Tests, upgrades / patches, system documentation, troubleshooting, bug fixes, tracking and training).Managing the constraints of the plan and issues, which are cost, time, scope, and quality.To specify the quality of the deliverables for acceptance criteria definition.Typically, we work remotely but sometimes we move to the client site. Depending on your location, you may travel up to 5% (on average).Will be responsible for updating the documentation or produce documentation that may be used inside and outside the company.Attending instrument connectivity meetings.Write periodic status progress reports.Work closely with a team to solve issues and create new features in the connectivity space.Resolve technical issues that arise within the program.Meet with lab management teams to plan the implementation of LIMS, enhancements and assess impact to operations and necessary workflow changes.Perform other duties as needed. Qualifications Who Are We Looking For? Years of Experience Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication, scientific discipline or equivalent experience) with 3+ years of experience or Master's degree.Knowledge of Java development methodologies and database is a must.Advanced conversational and written English is a must.Practical experience (over 3 years) working a job in complex institutions.Portuguese proficiency - (Is a Plus).Experience in R&D (Research and development) - (Is a Plus).Knowledge in LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) - (Is a Plus).Tech Skills Minimum of +3 years of programming experience using programming language such VB, Windows scripting language, Java is a must.Safe Agile knowledge or certification - (Is a Plus).Experience with any of the following Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS): LabVantage, LabWare, StarLIMS, Empower, Chromatography Data Systems (CDS), Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN)– (Is a Plus).Azure Knowledge (Is a Plus).Project Methods and Tools experience.Experience in working with relational databases (eg: SQL, Oracle).Create and maintain system documentation.Non Tech Skills Clear communication and strong ability to work closely with others (Team player mentality), as driver development often involves collaborating with other developers, hardware engineers, and stakeholders.Keen attention to detail.Ability to analyze problems and find solutions, allowing to perform maintenance updates on current systems, and find solutions for systems that may not be working properly.Strong written and verbal communications skills.Excellent organizational skills.If this is an opportunity that interests you, we encourage you to apply even if you do not meet 100% of the requirements.
