This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of the IT team, services, and systems supporting our Mexico sites in Reynosa, Nuevo Laredo, Mexico City, and warehouses in Hidalgo, Tx and Laredo, Tx.
The position reports to the Corporate Director, Global IT Operations and Architecture of AMETEK.
The support includes but is not limited to:
Manage workload of staff and mentor a team of junior and senior IT engineers with a diverse mix of skill sets and experience.Assess, mentor, and coach current assigned direct reports ensuring the highest-level employee performance based on organizational goals, processes, and procedures.Focus on continuous employee improvement.Effectively resolve personnel issues within guidelines and with HR involvement.Assess employees for reviews/evaluations.Manage and monitor the daily operations of the IT department.Manage and maintain the network infrastructure in conjunction with the Corporate Cyber team.Manage the server and storage systems.Maintain and update software licenses.Maintain security procedures.Follow and ensure implementation of all AMETEK IT Policies and Procedures.Maintain system upgrades and patching.Maintain network infrastructure and security policies.Install, configure, monitor, and maintain varied network technologies including access points, switches, routers, firewalls, VPN concentrators, and WAN accelerators in conjunction with the Corporate Network and Cyber teams.Ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of IT network systems that support company functions and growth.Manage the network's performance metrics (load, performance, etc.).Ensure all IT systems and services meet or exceed Corporate IT compliance standards.Ensure the IT team adheres to all IT policies and procedures.Assist in the planning and implementation of new projects, including but not limited to, new software releases, new hardware purchases, etc.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications and Experience: The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
The candidate will have 10 years of progressive IT experience.
The candidate will have 5 years of supervisory experience leading a team.
The candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong work ethic.
The candidate must have excellent communication skills in Spanish and English and be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
The candidate will partner with the Corporate IT organization to identify and implement enterprise standard solutions across sites in Mexico.
Technical Skills: The candidate must have a strong understanding of Microsoft Windows Server and related technologies such as Active Directory, Exchange Server, MS Office 365, SQL Server, and Azure.
The candidate must have a solid understanding of network infrastructure and related technologies such as LAN, WAN, Wireless, and SDWAN technologies.
The candidate must have a solid understanding of cloud computing.
Other Requirements: The candidate must be capable of being qualified to work in the US and Mexico.
