Work involves accuracy and ability to make decisions within the limits of general policies and procedures.Builds a diverse and effective team by identifying/selecting the best talentResponsible for directing and prioritizing work, leading performance and providing guidance / coaching to team members.Leads the culture within their team, holds themselves and others accountable for demonstrating GMs values and cultural behaviors.**Additional Job Description**- Planning, directing, and coordinating activities pertaining to information technology and regional objectives- Provide an IT point of contact in the region in support of manufacturing operations, including support for the deployment of competitive manufacturing strategies- The point of communications for GITSO regional activities and an escalation point of contact for IT issues at the plants in their region- Also acts as a point of escalation for subordinate employees as well as managers and supervisorsPeople Care- Ensure business goals are accomplished and in-line with General Motors Information Technology (GMIT) objectives- Conduct effective performance evaluations as per the GM Commitment and Accountability Partnership (CAP) process and provide annual/semi-annual performance feedback to team members- Coach leaders in his region on GM CAP and organizational goals- Ensure compliance with GM health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe workplace; understand country-specific policies as needed- Be familiar with global HR contacts and directives. Engage HR and leaders for country-specific direction as appropriateOperations- Coach the region's site IT Managers and vendors to ensure local and global IT operational related documentation is accurate and kept up-to-date at all times- Escalate outage communications within the leadership chain as required. Mentor site leadership and technical teams to manage incidents to resolution- Perform follow-up communication for root cause analysis with global/regional/local Support Groups and Business Managers
