We enable people affected by humanitarian crises to communicate and regain a perspective on life.In a world disrupted by climate change and complex crises, TSF contributes to community resilience in the context of natural and man-made disasters, conflicts, and migratory crises.Since its creation, TSF has intervened in over 180 major crises in more than 80 countries, providing communications to more than 20 million people and almost 1,000 NGOs.As a telecommunication NGO, our core principles and driving values are to contribute to community resilience by promoting the responsible use of technology through a localized approach while maintaining immediate emergency response capacity. We believe that strategic alliances are crucial to developing more sustainable actions and accessing affected populations in difficult contexts.Since we are committed to not harming the populations we support, we are engaged in a global approach to eco-responsibility and sustainability.We implement connectivity, information access, and digital inclusion solutions to benefit displaced populations and anyone affected by a one-off or prolonged crisis.2 About the Regional Base for Latin America and the CaribbeanIn the Latin America and Caribbean region, the convergence of natural disasters and political instability has precipitated a mass displacement crisis. Harsh climate conditions, including hurricanes, earthquakes, and flooding, compel thousands to flee their homes each year.Meanwhile, escalating violence fed by political turmoil and criminal networks exacerbates the situation, driving further displacement.This turbulent combination forces families to embark on perilous journeys in search of safety, either within the region or beyond its borders.TSF has been present in LA&C since October 2003 after inaugurating its first regional office in Managua, Nicaragua, to bridge the digital divide and intervene rapidly in case of a crisis or emergency in the region.Since its establishment, TSF LA&C carried out 50 missions in 21 countries, becoming a key regional humanitarian actor.TSF LA&C also implemented connectivity, access to information and digital inclusion, projects such as community Internet centers in Nicaragua, digital tools for food distribution in Guatemala, and informative screens for migrants and refugees in Mexico and Colombia.In 2016, TSF LA&C moved its regional office to Guadalajara, Mexico.TSF LA&C has worked with several humanitarian organizations in the region both for relief efforts and long-term impact, bringing ICT capabilities to enhance humanitarian response
