This is Where We Save and Sustain Lives Your role at Baxter: Main objective of the position: The IT Procurement Sr Specialist will be responsible for managing and supervising the purchasing lifecycle of all IT equipment, software, and services for our organization. The successful candidate will ensure that all IT purchases are completed timely and within budget with adherence to policy. Role to closely collaborate with multiple teams including global procurement, requestors, approvers, finance, accounts payable and IT leaders. What you'll be doing: Manage the purchasing process from requisition to delivery for IT hardware, software, and services. Track and report key functional metrics related to IT procurement. Manage and maintain IT vendor and service provider relationships. Manage IT procurement projects and coordinate with team members working on related initiatives. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements for IT hardware, software, and services. Collaborate with IT team and other relevant departments to ensure the IT procurement needs are met. Maintain accurate records of purchases and contracts for IT hardware, software, and services. Create and/or maintain policies and procedures for asset procurement activities and ensure they are enforced. Monitor compliance of all globally procured assets with applicable hardware and software standards. Provide regular reporting on company spending and inventory control trends and make recommendations for improvement. Maintain contract repository & governance. Provide support for vendor record maintenance and onboarding new vendors. Subject matter expert in global cost centers and budgets. Report over/under plan spend to budget managers. What you'll bring: BA/BS degree in computer science, supply chain, or related field or equivalent experience. 1-3 years of experience as an IT procurement specialist or similar role. 5+ years IT experience is desirable. General knowledge of IT hardware, software, services, and solutions. Experience with IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and CMDB is desirable
