IT Project Manager/Delivery Manager

SimCorp Advanced Delivery Center (ADC) was strategically established, initially in 2016 in Warsaw, Poland, and subsequently extended to Manila, Philippines in 2021 and Mexico City in 2023. This purposeful expansion allows us to effectively cater for the clients across EMEA, APAC, and NA. Within the ADC, our Business Consultants collaborate closely with market units, focusing on business functionality and solution workflows. Their expertise ensures the customized configuration and seamless deployment of SimCorp Dimension, our flagship product, for our valued customers.
Why this role is important to us
As part of the ADC Project Delivery Team, this role entails taking full responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of ADC _project deliverables_ (Work Package engagements). The Delivery Manager is accountable for adhering to the agreed budget and overseeing and documenting all aspects of specific projects. They work closely with Project Managers from Reginal Teams to ensure each scope of deliverables and direction remain on schedule and is align with stakeholders' expectations.
What you will be responsible for
As a Delivery Manager, you will:
- Take direct responsibility for the business outcome of projects
- Organize and supervise the ADC Project Team
- Ensure swift and smooth project delivery
- Ensure project prerequisites are available
- Monitor project progress and report status to stakeholders through detailed reports and summaries, demonstrating the level of services provided in accordance with agreed parameters
- Plan and sequence project activities and ensure their correct setup in Workday
- Coordinate resource availability
- Validate and approve timesheets and expenses of the ADC Project Team
- Provide input for forecasting
- Serve as a role model for business consultants and stakeholders
- Actively participate in the Delivery Managers' community
- Share knowledge and lessons learned with SimCorp employees locally and internationally
- Continuously expand knowledge of SimCorp Dimension and clients' businesses to ensure optimal configuration and workflow
- Build and maintain long-term, professional relationships with assigned clients
What we value
- At least 5 years of experience in IT project management (preferably with a waterfall approach and PMP certification), and IT service delivery management
- Knowledge of the IT services market and the sales process
- Experience in customer relationship management
- Background in the financial industry (experience with asset managers, fund managers, insurers, or banks is highly valuable)
- Understanding of financial instruments and products, financial markets, and stock exchanges, or a keen interest in learning about the investment banking industry
- Experience with IT implementation projects, particularly in data migration and service onboarding (including analysis, mapping, testing, and deployment), is highly valued
- High personal integrity and culture
- Commitment, consistency in achieving goals, and excellent organizational skills
- Focus on efficiency and punctuality in task completion
- A degree or master's in Finance, Economics, Physics, Math, Science, or Engineering
