Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network.
The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications.
The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
The IT SAP ABAP Developer will be responsible for support of enterprise-class applications.
Systems for development include SAP S/4 Private Instance, SAP EWM and Central Finance In this role you will work as an operation support specialist in new Global S4 HANA team being created in strategic ERP Transformation Organization.

You will work with colleagues from different regions, lead meetings, and take responsibility for the ABAP development workstream.
Experience in one of more of the following is highly desirable: - Analyze software requirements to determine design feasibility, and develop ABAP solutions as per the design document requirements Will work with operations team in support break/fix activities Work in an international team, using collaboration tools, to operate as one, cohesive Operations team.
Conduct working sessions with business users as required to clarify requirements or troubleshoot issues.
Research and apply OSS notes as required to resolve issues.
Work in Corning's ITSM related applications like ServiceNow, Teams, Sharepoint, SAP chARM Will be in an on-call rotation supporting team / organization expected to meet SLA commitments defined by IT and agreed upon by the organization.
Develop documentation and testing procedures, and perform knowledge sharing sessions with operations team.
Education & Experience 3+ years SAP ECC 6.0 and SAP S/4 Proficient in Technical Solution Design, Business Analysis, Business Knowledge and Architecture Knowledge Excellent communication and written skills to aid in RICEF creation and design document creation.
In-depth knowledge of SAP best practices Required skills Development skills in the area of ABAP and ABAP OO.
CDS view development is preferable.
Experienced with enhancement knowledge includes BADI, user-exit, enhancement.
Strong system integration skills include RFC, webservice, IDOC.
Experienced with Adobe forms and Workflow Development skill in S4HANA include ODATA Service S4HANA Fiori experience is preferable Experienced SAP S/4 HANA ABAP Consultant to work on Identify and resolve complex technical issues within our customer service-level agreements.
