Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network.
The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications.

Position Description:In this role you will work as an operation support specialist in new Global S4 HANA team being created in strategic ERP Transformation Organization.
You will work in international company with great history having many divisions and subsidiaries all over the world.

You will work with colleagues from different regions, lead meetings, and take responsibility for the SAP PTP (Plan to Produce)/QM/ RTP(Request to Pay) workstream with focus on NAFTA area.
Experience in one of more of the following is highly desirable: PTP/P2P and QM stream - Ability to demonstrate S4 HANA processes in Plan to Produce and Quality Management processes.
RTP stream – Ability to demonstrate S4 HANA processes in Request to Pay processes.
Experience in PP, QM and/or MM implementation & customizing.
Strong knowledge in setting up various kinds of planning processes and integration with other planning solutions like SAP IBP, APO, and third-party planning solutions.
Experience in dealing with key integration areas procurement, supply chain, warehouse management, and Quality.
Experience in S4 Conversion, workflow, interfaces, and EDI.
Strong analytical thinking skills.
Able to perform under pressure during times like a system down situation.
Ability to work across multiple teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Conduct working sessions with business users as required.
Able to work with Basis team during troubleshooting providing guidance when required.
The ability to research and apply OSS notes as required to resolve issues.
Will need to become proficient in working within our ticketing system – ServiceNow.
Must be a self-starter with ability to manage work with minimal supervision and able to work independently following Corning established coding guidelines.
Will work with operations team in support break/fix activities as well as assignment.
Will be in an on-call rotation supporting team / organization expected to meet SLA commitments defined by IT and agreed upon by the organization.
Analyze software requirements to determine design feasibility.
Develop software systems, including programming, documentation, and testing procedures.
Education & Experience: 3+ years SAP ECC 6.0 and SAP S/4.
Proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Architecture Knowledge, and Technical Solution Design.
Excellent communication and written skills to aid in RICEF creation and design document creation.
In-depth knowledge of SAP best practices.
