The In-Vehicle Software Engineer executes the Software Change Management Process (SWCM) and managing the In-vehicle software (IVS) data base to comply with the software release for 100% of vehicle programs at development, production and service.- 2 to 5 years of experience SW development experience / knowledge.- Affinity for automotive industry, especially electronic systems & programming.- Proficient reading, writing and conversational English required.
English level +90%- Users of the following software: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).- Developed programing skills (demonstrable)- Embedded Systems knowledge desirable.- WERS, IVS, and JIRA knowledge as user.- To follow and execute the SWCM process and keep IVS sections updated in the health chart for all the software releases assigned.- To create software structures in IVS as specified by the assigned commodity's software delivery and validation plans.- To provide guidance to D&R engineers and supplier towards 100% compliance with the software release process and program's timing.- To have ECU's place holder with the correct network according to the vehicle network specification.- To follow software delivery plans priorities and escalate as required.- To run the IVS database checkers and solve the noncompliance items.- To ensure all ECU's software loaded into sold vehicles is present in the IVS database.- To ensure that suppliers meet the module programming and configuration specification by incorporating Worldwide Engineering Release System (WERS) part number identification into the embedded software.- To ensure alignment between WERS notices and IVS for the assigned commodity.- To report software delivery status for each assigned commodity for each vehicle program under development.- To act as a single point of IVS contact for the System Engineer, EPMT, Netcom, and Service Engineers when required.- To provide D&R support for the creation of service actions and ensure these ones are frozen in IVS and are available to be implemented by FCSD and Dealers.- To provide the correct resolution for all the alarms and concerns raised by the IVS Core and Diagnostics Teams by fixing the discrepancies found in the part numbers.
