**Java-Guidewire Developer**
In Zurich Capability Center we are looking for a skilled and proactive Guidewire Developer to join This role involves developing, customizing, and integrating solutions to support business needs and ensure optimal system performance.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Design, develop, and customize Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions using GOSU, Java, and XML.- Implement configurations in PolicyCenter, Rating, and Product Designer to align with business requirements.-
- Conduct unit and integration testing to validate customizations and configurations.- Maintain and enhance relational databases (e.g., Oracle, H2, SQL Server) to support Guidewire implementations.- Utilize Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps) for project development and management.- Provide post-implementation technical support and participate in maintenance activities.- Ensure effective version control using Git and other tools like Bitbucket.- Document configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Advanced Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills, with a strong foundation in Java.- A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience using Java frameworks (Struts, Hibernate, Spring, etc.
).- B2 or higher English proficiency (TOEFL standard) with experience working with U.S. and offshore teams.- Proficiency in relational database management (Oracle, H2, SQL Server).- Hands-on experience with version control tools, preferably Git.- Experience with REST services and optional SOAP services.- Familiarity with DevOps tools like Bitbucket, TeamCity, and Postman.
**Nice to Have**:
- Experience with cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services, Azure, Google Cloud).- Understanding of commercial insurance business processes and concepts.- In-depth knowledge of Guidewire PolicyCenter and associated tools.- Certification in GWCP (Guidewire Cloud Platform) development or related areas.- Experience with Agile frameworks and collaborative tools like JIRA, Rally, or Confluence.- Knowledge of PCF, Product Modeling using APD, data models, batch processing, workflows, and validations in Guidewire systems.

- Strong team player with excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills.- Proactive, self-learner with a solution-oriented approach.- Ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies quickly.
