**The Opportunity**:
- Jira Configuration and Maintenance: Configure, maintain, and upgrade Jira Data Center instances. Ensure the system's integrity, performance, and security.
- Workflow Management: Design, implement, and optimize workflows for different projects and teams within Jira to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- User Management and Support: Manage user permissions and access based on roles and responsibilities. Provide training and support to Jira users to ensure they can leverage the platform effectively.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor the Jira system for issues, perform troubleshooting, and resolve problems to ensure high availability and performance.
- Reporting and Analytics: Develop and manage reports, dashboards, and metrics within Jira to support project management, decision-making, and reporting needs. Best Practices and Policies: Develop and enforce best practices, policies, and procedures related to Jira usage and administration. Stay updated with the latest Jira features and plugins.
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.
**What you need**:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Jira Administrator, with hands-on experience in managing Jira Data Center.
- Strong knowledge of Jira system architecture, database schemas, and configuration.
- Experience in customizing workflows, setting up dashboards, and integrating Jira with other tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Groovy or Python for Jira customization.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and training skills, with the ability to support non-technical users.
- Experience with Jira Service Management and Confluence. Knowledge of ITIL or other service management frameworks.
