**Your role at Baxter**
This position has the responsibility of processing payments and administering the corporate credit card programs as well as analyzing Accounts Payable activities for trends and leading the implementation of process improvements to maximize the financial performance for the company by reducing operating expenses.

**What you'll be doing**
- This position interacts with internal as well as external customers to answer inquiries, resolve problems and investigate the potential integration of solutions to meet the company's financial and operational goals.
- Prepare, review, analyze and transmit payments accurately and in compliance with SOX guidelines.
- Daily analysis of returned payments ensuring returns are corrected for all payments.
- Develop and report to management disbursements trends to reduce operating expenses. Oversee clearing of un-reconciled checks to minimize unclaimed property filings. Coordinate the weekly disbursements for all vendors and customer refunds via check, electronic transfer of funds and working with the banks to purchase appropriate currencies for all wire payments.
- Coordinate company-sponsored T&E and P-card credit card programs, including monitoring fraud, personal spending on cards and compliance with company policies in terms of utilization of cards. This may involve providing guidance to and coordinating with international counterparts.
- Perform audits of the P-card to ensure compliance with the policy and the SOX guidelines.
- Create and analyze monthly/weekly reports for the corporate card programs.
- Learning system administrator for assigning corporate card training and monitoring for completion.
- Provide support for Concur by answering employee questions, running reports, audits, and sending employee notifications for policy violations.
- Responsible for analyzing accounts payable data and creating and monitoring metrics that will drive efficiencies within the department.
- Manage projects as assigned. Includes leadership, project planning, resource allocation and appropriate follow through to completion per established timelines.
- Continually seek new methods and process improvements to streamline and simplify financial processes.
- Monitor accounts payable activity for adherence to the SOX requirements.
- Support the Transparency reporting process.
- Assist and support all month end closing, tracking, and account reconciliations.
**What you'll bring**
- Requires Associate's Degree in Accounting at a minimum
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable
- Experience with General Ledger account reconciliations
- Knowledge of JDE, Excel and Cognos & reporting tools
- Strong Analytical skills to define problems, identify solutions and to implement changes through to completion
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly to a wide-range of internal and external customers
- Self-starter with a high degree of initiative and drive with the ability to initiate, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Demonstration of strong leadership qualities
- Experienced and comfortable with analysis and reporting utilizing accounting software, databases, and Excel spreadsheets.
