Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Jr Manufacturing Engineer (gears).
**What you'll do**:
**PRIMARY FUNCTION**:
A. Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new products and continuous improvement.
B. Support production floor activities, such as problem solving, gemba walks, failures and quality issues
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:
A. Provides corrections related to machine capability and production rates (OEE). Maintain and improve current manufacturing processes to produce parts to specification.
B. Support to manufacture engineer Sr. to follow a project planning, scheduling and implementation of the projects.
C. Support to provide technical leadership and solutions.
D. Support for to conduct the investigation and research on new process and product.
E. Maintain and update process documentation.
F. Review new part drawings and processes for proper utilization of machine.
G. Continually evaluate safety, ergonomics, productivity and quality and improve process.
H. Review and prove tool drawings from division, machine suppliers, tool vendors, etc.
I. Help to initiate and implement tool, fixture and part change to improve product quality.
J. Leadership of Cost Out projects in Tool, Fixtures or Quality areas
K. Participate in the continuous improvement process of the plant and implement cost-savings in manufacturing to reduce waste including corrective actions to make an immediate impact to business results. Reduce high-risk priority numbers in manufacturing PFMEA´s.
M. Promotes the company's mission by actively supporting Eaton's ethics and values as well as quality policies.
N. Motivate employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.
O. Support solving gantry failures and alarms, gantry positions programming (Automation)
**Qualifications**:
**SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE.**
A. Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, electronic or manufacturing engineering required.
B. 3 years experience in manufacturing or engineering environment, ideally in the automotive industry.
C. English language at a conversational level us required
D. Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques and manufacturing processes.
E. Demonstrated knowledge and training in, mistake proofing techniques and CNC programming.
F. Process of turning, generating, carving, deburring and basic welding process
G. Skills at interpreting mechanical drawings and basic use of CAD systems.
H. Automation: Robot Fanuc Programming
**ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.**
A. Provide information to update database to add new models.
B. Make hand notes for operation people training.
C. Train operator to use proper methods, write work instructions, define setup techniques, maintain equipment and track OEE.
D. Develop positive employee relations.
