Position Summary:
Assuring the material supply for production plan, by effective analysis of the demand, inventory and the correct communication with the supplier, always focused on improve team performance and oriented of the not disturbing the production schedule plan.
Creating a sustainable Process & Strategies related to material planning and inventory control.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Materials Planner.
- As a part of the supervisory responsibilities, if there is not an employee to attend the process, the direct boss will have to attend the process or assign the activities to another employee (with equal qualifications).
Job Responsibilities:
Make daily analysis of inventory levels to avoid any shortages components.
Make analysis to releases week by week to detect demand variations.
Make weekly planning orders to supplier base according the current customer demand.
Assure the communication and control with the supplier.
Assure the good receive of the material.
Assure in collaboration with customs and logistics team the arrival on time for the material.
Establish multidisciplinary teams for continuous improvement.
Identify and implement improvements to reduce obsolescence risk.
Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency of labor.
Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any non-compliance related.
Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through established communication channels.
Assure high level of data and transactional integrity in the MRP system in order to achieve high levels of inventory accuracy.
Oversee all production materials planning cycles and transactions in order to achieve appropriate levels of inventory.
Minimize freight and premium freight services through the proper planning processes.
Implement lean manufacturing techniques as related to material handling and control.
Coordinate product changes and inventory levels to assure mínimal obsolescence.
Analyze and present customer driven trends and projections in order to properly manage plant capacity and manning.
Supervising Materials Planner team activities.
And other activities assigned by Materials Manager.

Engineering, International Business, Finance or Administration Degree.
3-5 years of related experience.
Experience in the automotive industry preferably.
Experience with customer relationship.
Knowledge on inventory tasks (cycle count, audits, customer service).
Ability to work under stressful conditions.
Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.
English 90%, Advance English level (reading and writing that allow fluid presentations).
