Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:Jr Procurement Indirect BuyerPosted Date: Aug 9, 2024Job Location: Guadalajara, JaliscoSummary:Indirect Procurement Buyer will collaborate with various professionals of Mexico plants, including, but not limited to Engineering, Manufacturing, Facilities IS, Human Resources, Finance, MKT, Trade MKT, logistics, and Legal to lead the development and execution of procurement strategies that drive improved business capabilities, provide best cost options, and control contract risk. The successful candidate for this position will have the skills and capabilities to build category strategies with the support of Procurement Mgr/supervisor, execute sourcing events, and negotiate with suppliers. Job is performed with supervision and support of Procurement Mgr/Supervisor.Responsibilities:MATERIAL PROCUREMENTLead the development of sourcing plans to proactively identify sourcing needs in support of business needs. Lead sourcing events and negotiations to achieve cost savings and cost avoidance targets, including large Request for Proposal (RFP) and other competitive bidding events including conducting due diligence on suppliers, contacting suppliers to communicate requirements, evaluating, optimizing, and negotiating received bids and summarizing findings with the Business Owner. Utilize spend analytics to identify areas of sourcing/savings opportunity in assigned categories.SUPPLIER MANAGEMENTManage, assess, and evaluate suppliers and provide periodical supplier performance reports. Work alongside users to manage supplier relationships to ensure service levels and contractual obligations are met. Develop and maintain Master Service Agreements (MSA's), other contracts, and a list of preferred suppliers with the support of Procurement Mgr/Leader.POLICY & PROCEDURE IMPLEMENTATIONEnsure all purchases are conducted in compliance with Hershey Global Procurement Policy with proper documentation, processes, and meet company systems requirements. Ensure the practice of the Hershey's Code of Ethical Business Conduct.Education:- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, supply chain, or equivalent.Experience:- Minimum 1+ years (2 years preferred) progressive business experience with 1+ years in procurement experience; experience sourcing forthe food industry is preferred.- Demonstrated skills and medium expertise in procurement and/or supply chain.- Development and management of suppliers to identify sourcing needs in support of business needs.- Establish supplier management metrics, processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.- Experience evaluating supplier bids and conducting contract negotiations.- Problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple tasks.- Participation/Development in bidding and quotation processes.#J-18808-Ljbffr
