The Strategic Buyer is efficiently executing tactical purchasing processes in line with the given budget. The Strategic Buyer is securing the supply of material based on customer requirements at the lowest price while ensuring quality and on-time delivery (Total Cost of Ownership).How You'll Make an Impact (responsibilities)Responsible for soliciting suppliers and vendors for RFQ process and proposals for high voltage substations projects.Responsible for sourcing of strategic commodities, including negotiating price, scope, quality, lead time, and contractual and commercial terms and conditions with suppliers/vendors.Develop and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers and search and qualify new suppliers to diversify the supply-base.Understand and interpret the scope and recommend total cost of ownership (ToCo) for proposals and projects.Collaborate with external suppliers and vendors and internal teams to support on projects for timely delivery.Coordinate with project teams to ensure their requirements are sufficiently included in sourcing process.Develops and implements strategies for negotiations with suppliers.Monitors supplier delivery and quality performance. Expedite and escalates where appropriate and needed.Provides support to the commodity strategy development and actively represents in regional commodity circles.Analyzes local and regional market trends and implements in procurement plan and sourcing strategy for commodities.What You Bring (requirements)A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering or related engineering or technical field (a master's degree in engineering field is an added advantage).0-2 years of relevant work experience in engineering, procurement, or purchasing in the power and energy sector.Desirable experience in supplier negotiations and Strategic Sourcing.Fluent in English.Who is Siemens Energy?At Siemens Energy, we are more than just an energy technology company.
