Goal:
Leading the wire harness-cable with the following roles and responsibilities: support cable assembly operations by establishing production lines.
Work within the parameters of the QM System to help the company achieve general and company-specific quality efforts and growth goals specifically in wire harness cable assembly business center.
Supporting team that can develop support customer products by guiding feasibility studies, transfer and setup of equipment, and leveraging local and company experts,
**Responsibilities**:
- Expert in cable assembly operations in WHMA/IPC620 standards
- Participate on the purchase/transfer of equipment along company global experts.
- Ability to read and follow wire harness assembly instructions.
- Active Role in NPI, final manufacturing release, selection of machines, tooling and fixtures to support cost effective routing and work instructions for the electrical harnesses business unit
- Select cable assembly components such as connectors backshells, cable/wire, shielding, jacket materials as required to support customer design and local sourcing materials,
- Provide technical guidance to production facilities and launch sites
- Coordinate with QA Engineer and manufacturing personnel
- WI development (cut sheets, splice wi, crimping validations)
- Mylards development
- Machines support
Requiriments:
- 2 years of wire harness assembly experience
- Automotive or industrial familiarity with industry practices
- Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical engineering degree
- Knowledge of IPC-A-620
- Advanced skills in stripping, cutting, crimping and quality test equipment for cable assembly
- Ability to read wire list and discern multiple color wires, contacts and components
- Intermediate-Advanced English level
- Softwares:
- MS Office-AutoCAD
