.30712 - JUNIOR DRILLING ENGINEERAt Eni, we are looking for a Junior Drilling Engineer within Eni Abu Dhabi B.V. in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for developing well design and layout, optimizing investments and applying the highest standards of engineering integrity, safety and environmental protection. You will also draft drilling plans and support its execution providing engineering advice and updating, when necessary, well design and execution plans.As a member of the Wells Operations Department you will be responsible for:Preparing well data sheetsDesigning and selecting well-head equipmentDrawing up drilling programsObtaining relevant data, carrying out analysis on site and recommending immediate actions as necessaryCarrying out full engineering analyses of rig site data and preparing regular well reportsMonitoring daily progress of well operations and costs, comparing actual costs with cost expenditure proposals and recommending changes or improvements to rig work techniquesLiaising with specialist contractors and suppliers, such as cement companies or suppliers of drilling fluidsMonitoring safety and ensuring the good maintenance of the wellEstablishing and administering drilling and service contractsCoordinating and supervising the work of the drilling teamUndertaking engineering design and the planning of wells (including development work)Working with multidisciplinary professionals to evaluate the commercial viability of the well and monitoring progress during drillingEnsuring that all activities are carried out in full compliance of Eni procedures and best HSE practices, demonstrating personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment through:Adherence to Eni Abu Dhabi HSE Policy and proceduresAdherence to HSE guidelinesIdentification of HSE hazards in the workplace.Reporting of HSE Accident/Incidents/Near Miss.This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements:Engineering or science degree3 years of Oil & Gas drilling experienceAt least 1 year of well site experience as Drilling Supervisor or Well Site EngineerCertifications in drilling engineering technologiesIntermediate level of English languageGood interpersonal and communications skillsGood computer skills, especially Microsoft SuiteLocation:Abu Dhabi, UAEContract Type:PermanentPlease note that this position is part of the Emiratisation Program, only UAE nationals can be considered.At Eni we believe in enterprising people, capable of making a difference and making their contribution with passion and innovation, to respond to the global challenges of the energy transition.
