.About the Role: Job Title : Junior Economist Location : Mexico City, Mexico The Role : We are currently hiring for the position of Economist I in our US Macroeconomic Service. As an Economist I, you will be an integral part of our 10-person team of top-notch economists responsible for producing a monthly forecast of the US economy. The main responsibilities for the Economist I role will be maintaining historical databanks that support our structural macroeconomic forecasting model; writing, proofreading, and providing publication support for our analytical commentaries; and assisting the senior staff. Specific Job Duties :Maintain historical databanks used in the production of our economic forecasts.Write recurring analytical reports on high-frequency macroeconomic indicators.Assist senior US Macroeconomic staff in preparing presentations and reports.Co-author chapters for our monthly US Macroeconomic forecast.Help to manage client requests.Required Experience/Skills :Ability to write clearly and concisely in English.Ability to work independently, diligently, and efficiently in a deadline-driven workplace.Good econometrics skills are a plus but not essential.Strong programming skills.Sound knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel.Required Education :Bachelor's degree at a minimum; Preference for a degreein Economics, but will consider applicants with other degrees.Fluency in English.About S&P Global Market Intelligence:At S&P Global Market Intelligence, a division of S&P Global, we understand the importance of accurate, deep, and insightful information.
