Junior Process Control & Automation SpecialistThe Junior automation engineer will assist other engineers in the automation scope for capital projects in the region. This includes PLC and SCADA programming, readiness and setup for OT systems, and data engineer support. This person will travel extensively to sites to help during commissioning and startups, with the target to be responsible for small projects in the short term.RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure automation systems are fully ready for commissioning to avoid delays in projects.Follow OMYA standards and guidelines on programming and code development, as well as software that is installed on the servers and PCs.Provide updates on progress to the project leader, communicate, and work until resolution for any obstacles.Provide support to the Electrical and Automation Engineering team.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Degree in Electrical, Automation Engineering, or a similar degree. Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in the electrical and/or automation engineering field.PLC and SCADA programming experience in at least one of the following brands: Schneider Electric, Rockwell, or Siemens. Industrial instrumentation wiring and basic setup experience.Basic knowledge in industrial networks such as Ethernet IP, Modbus TCP, and ASi. Open to learning new systems and software. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, along with good communication skills.Must be willing to travel internationally at least 70% of the time to the USA and/or Latin America.
