Job Title: Kanban Supervisor Report to: Production Superintendent Location: Mexico Overview of Role: The Kanban Supervisor oversees the implementation and maintenance of Kanban systems to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of materials, resources, and information within the production or operations process.
This role involves leading a team to adhere to Lean principles, monitor inventory levels, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Kanban System Management: Implement and maintain Kanban systems for material and production flow.
Monitor and adjust Kanban signals to prevent overproduction or shortages.
Ensure proper usage of Kanban boards/cards and adherence to system protocols.
Team Supervision: Lead, train, and supervise team members involved in the Kanban process.
Assign tasks and ensure the team meets daily operational goals.
Foster a collaborative and proactive work environment.
Process Optimization: Analyze production workflows and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve bottlenecks and optimize processes.
Implement Lean principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials.
Work with supply chain and warehouse teams to align Kanban processes.
Track and report key metrics related to inventory and production flow.
Continuous Improvement: Facilitate regular reviews of Kanban systems to ensure effectiveness.
Conduct root cause analysis for any discrepancies or inefficiencies.
Develop and implement improvement initiatives based on data and feedback.
Requirements: Education:Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
