Position Summary: Manage the Monster business in Key Accounts (Walmart, Sam's, HEB, Soriana), along with the distributor to ensure the achievement of sales, grow the energy drinks category, maintaining a long-term relationship with accounts and maximizing sales opportunities within them.
The Key Account Manager role is focused on ensuring Monster 3Ps are executed properly as planned in store level through managing distributor sales office and field representatives as well as key customers.
This position is not a direct field role but a control tower for influencing distributor field force, with close working relationships with channel / distributor / customer sales team in all levels within his/her respective accounts.
This position will play a key role in developing field programs and incentives to motivate distributor in growing Monster business in Mexico, as well as ensure all trade executions are in line with agreed guidelines.
Essential Job Functions: To develop business plans, strategies and tactics, by identifying local market and category opportunities to maximize profitable sellsAnnual business & strategic planning (Joint Business Plan)Forecasting accuracy and S&OP planning.Ensuring the achievement of sales volumes in Key Accounts (Walmart, Sam's, HEB, Soriana).Manage Trade Spend, P&L budget.Create initiatives that help provide great customer shopping experiences through the correct demonstration, exhibition and flawless execution of promotions and planogram (shelf space) of Monster products.Manage sales reporting against KPI's.Develop promotional planning and evaluationDevelop and execute appropriate tactics and plans to exceed sales and profit expectations.Coordinated and identified business opportunities by analyzing business indicators.Develop and coordinate POS implementation.Work with Marketing to leverage all marketing assets.Need to be hands on in store level data such as share of space, share of voice, competitor activities etc, to identify in store opportunities.Leverage business relationships with key customers to act as category advisor in how to build and grow energy drinks categoryKEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
Volume and growth vs PY and vs PlanValue and volume share and growthInventory levelsPosition Requirements: 5+ years of experience in related positions in the food and beverages industry.Strong account management and relationship building skills.Experience of managing major national accounts (Oxxo mainly).Highly self-motivated.Strong verbal and written communications skills and presentation skills effective across a broad range of audiences.Strong analytical skills, time management, and customer service skills.Demonstrated appreciation for the value of attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.Team oriented.Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.Expertise in beverage industry (alc or non-alc) in retail channels is a must.Experience with building and executing trade programs and promotions, as well as POS and inventory reports.
