Our continued success depends on it!Job Title:Instructional DesignerDepartment:Global Training ComplianceFLSA Status:ExemptPosition Overview:Reporting to the Training Manager, the Instructional Designer is responsible for developing and delivering blended learning programs in collaboration with subject matter experts. Focuses on the ADDIE instructional design process. Develops and executes a risk-based approach for prioritization of content creation. Implements and follows guidelines for developing content including templates.Responsibilities:Design and develop interactive, engaging, and effective learning solutions, including e-learning, On-the-Job Training, in-person or virtual workshops, videos, podcasts, games, assessments, and others.Effectively communicate and consult with any stakeholders who are involved in the proposal, design, and development stages.Follows standard ADDIE instructional design processes, including: Participating in the needs analysis, design, and development of training modules.Interacting with SMEs in planning and scoping requirements for curriculum.Storyboarding, authoring, and development of e-learning content and blended learning solutions.Participates in beta deliveries of new courses, occasional travel for pilot support.Developing course-specific job aids and performance support materials.Maintains the Service segment within the Learning Management System (LMS), including: Uploading new courses.Assisting users with accessing courses and the creation of reports.Participates in project teams on a variety of initiatives.Reviews and tests new and revised curriculum offerings from other team members, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement; contributes to new curriculum or program ideas.Work within the highly regulated medical device environment by following prescribed approval processes for all training materials developed.Provides reporting to management on project progression and completion.Provides reporting to management on student usage of courses.Performs other duties, as required.Education and Experience:Minimum Requirements:BS degree in Communications/Education/Adult Learning or equivalent experience.2+ years of experience in instructional design models, best practices, and adult learning theory/principles.Medical Device, Pharmaceutical or within the Life Sciences Industry experience preferred
