Overview
The Laboratory Quality Coordinator is responsible for leading the different areas of Metrology, Calibration and Metallurgy to help evaluate and measure the quality of the product and equipment through different measurements, trials, destructive and non-destructive tests.
Experience and Education
Professional career in Engineering (Materials, Industrial, Mechanical or Mechatronics)
Minimum 3 years of experience in Laboratories (Engineer and/or Coordinator)
Minimum 3 years of experience managing work teams and personnel in charge
Minimum 2 years of experience in welding and painting processes.
Knowledge, Skills and Certifications

General Knowledge and Experience
Extensive knowledge in GD&T
Experience in the design (GD&T) and development of Go-NoGo Fixtures and Gages
Experience in Calibration of Measuring and Testing Equipment (industry: automotive)
Experience in handling Measurement Equipment (CMM, Scanner, Measuring Arm, etc.)
Experience in interpretation of Engineering drawings (GD&T) for the correct alignment and measurement of components.
Experience in Destructive Testing (DT) and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Ultrasound, Macrography, Metallography, Liquid Penetrant (LPI), Magnetic Particles (MPI).
Experience in handling Equipment for Product Validation and Welding and Painting Process
Experience and knowledge of International Standards, references to the different tests and trials in product validation (ASTM, ASME, etc.)
General knowledge of the ISO 9001:2015 standard
Experience in evaluating Procedures, Work Instructions, Visual Aids, Formats and Records.
Experience in statistical analysis tools (SPC).
Experience and management of CATIA Software.
Knowledge about storage, use and disposal of chemical materials.
Written and verbal Spanish
Written and verbal English (85%)
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft, SAP and CATIA software
Travel availability (National and International)
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
**Laboratory Structure and Equipment (Personnel)**:
Selection, Training and Coaching (through existing processes) of the Laboratory Quality team
Evaluation, identification and mitigation of Health and Safety risks in productive areas and with the Laboratory Quality team (Health and Safety Programs)
Development and succession plan for the Laboratory Quality team.
Evaluation of the work environment and development of a plan to mitigate the main areas of opportunity.
Evaluation of the performance of the Laboratory Quality team and development of improvement plans for the areas of opportunity identified in the staff.
Calibration Laboratory
Permanent definition, development, updating of the process to provide the calibration service of equipment and validation and measurement tools.
Planning, Integration, Rigorous Execution and Update of the annual, monthly and daily Calibration Program.
Maintain Measurement Equipment and Tools under Calibration for the use and operation of different users.
Evaluation and identification of quality risks identified in the calibration. Generation of actions to correct or minimize them.
Generation of reports, analysis and interpretations of calibration results.
Metallurgy Laboratory
Permanent definition, development, updating of the process to provide the destructive and non-destructive testing service.
Planning, Integration, Rigorous Execution and Update of the Macrography Program for the Manufacturing area.
Evaluation and identification of quality risks identified in the meta process
