This position requires both technical expertise and effective people management skills, especially in a fast-paced automotive environment.Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and coordinate daily operations within the laboratory, ensuring adherence to testing standards and protocols.- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of test engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support in test setup development and execution.- Work collaboratively with cross-functional engineering teams across different sites to ensure global alignment on testing standards, methodologies, and quality objectives.- Develop, implement, and monitor laboratory best practices to maintain high testing quality and ensure compliance with industry standards.- Review and improve testing protocols and methodologies, leveraging Six Sigma principles to enhance process efficiency and accuracy.- Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated, maintained, and utilized effectively, coordinating maintenance schedules as required.- Analyze test results and troubleshoot issues, implementing corrective actions to resolve discrepancies and improve testing outcomes.- Prepare and present regular reports on lab performance, highlighting areas for improvement and proposing solutions to optimize testing processes.- Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment in compliance with all company and industry health and safety regulations.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline; advanced degrees or certifications preferred.- 3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a laboratory or testing environment.- Strong understanding of testing protocols, quality assurance, and validation processes in the automotive industry.- Proven experience managing a technical team, with strong leadership skills and the ability to coach and motivate others.- Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent knowledge in quality management and process improvement methodologies.- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with global teams.- Willingness to travel to various company sites as required.Preferred Skills:- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and data analysis software.- Experience with regulatory compliance standards in the automotive sector
