AIG Travel Guard is a provider of travel insurance plans and assistance services covering travelers worldwide through each of the 7 centers we have in different parts of the world. From our service center based in Mexico City we provide support to LAC, Spain and Portugal.
AIG Travel Guard The plans offer coverage for vacation and trip cancellation, travel interruptions and delays, emergency medical and health expenses, lost baggage and more. We provide support to both leisure and corporate travelers all around the globe.

About the role
**What you need to know**:
Our Claims professionals support AIG policyholders through some of the most trying times. When our clients face losses large and small, we step up to help them ease the financial burdens of catastrophic events like fires and hurricanes; we help them get their businesses back up and running again or recoup the value of a lost family heirloom or a prized possession. Our Claims team is an industry leader, drawing daily on its unparalleled levels of expertise to offer our clients the highest levels of stewardship to drive total cost of claim improvement and consistent outcomes. AIG manages claims using a wealth of technical and market knowledge about risks, business practices, and the ever-evolving legal and regulatory environment.
**The LAR Claims Adjuster is responsible for**:
Receiving documents and information regarding claims and deciding if the case is payable and to what amount, while keeping with the terms and conditions of the governing policy
Communicate requests and questions from clients and providers regarding claim or payment status
Negotiate claim settlements with claimants and/or their legal teams
Manage one or more inboxes receiving daily communications from customers and third parties and replying accordingly to questions or requests
Process different basic claim activities, such as maintaining assignation databases, uploading documents to the system, processing payments to insureds, etc
**What we're looking for**:
Intermediate Level. 2+ years industry experience in lieu of College degree, College degree preferred
Strong work ethic and time management skills in order to efficiently handle a large caseload
Self-governance and responsibility are important, as it will be expected that you process your tasks independently
Excellent communication with customers (both written and by phone) in English and Spanish. Portuguese is a plus
Detailed oriented and organized
Proactivity and being able to determine priorities and urgencies
Basic computer skills, such as Excel, Outlook
