.Primary Responsibilities:**Role Summary***:The LATAM Import / Export Lead will lead, manage and execute all aspects for international shipments from demand to delivery for the LATAM region.
Manages the import/export process and ensures compliance with LATAM government laws and regulations.
Expedites the flow of traffic to/from foreign destinations, including customs documentation and transportation.
This includes leading the business processes relating to key Import/Export disciplines including Supply Chain planning.
**Key Responsibilities***:- Manage the movement of products/equipment/materials in and/out of the LATAM countries in accordance with organizational policy and procedures, and to comply with relevant local, country and international law and process.- Manage the necessary documentation and online forms for the efficient, cost-effective, and lawful execution of all import/export activities.- Provide functional knowledge of SAP International Orders, Transportation Management and Trade Compliance to direct reports and supply chain in support of LATAM international operations.- Drive continuous improvement in the LATAM supply chain.- Mentor business and project leaders within specific work-streams regarding requests related to import/export shipments, sharing appropriate knowledge of all relevant import/export law and procedures, tariffs, duties, licenses, and restrictions.- Manage financial and currency processes and transactions in accordance with Axalta policy and governing laws.- Communicate with import and export authorities, and customers and suppliers, in all relevant territories and countries, as necessary to ensure efficient, positive, and lawful relations, support and activities.- Lead the solution design within the work-stream for process improvement and cost reduction.- Identify and leverage cross-business synergies regarding delivery to promise and order fulfillment.- Lead key programs to minimize operational expense; investigate cost effective options to utilize existing processes and meet governmental regulations.- Monitor process performance and continually improve its output and accuracy; build internal import/export processes by researching, analyzing, generating, and developing metrics and management reports related to demand and distribution performance (delivery to promise and order fulfillment).- Manage all LATAM staff reporting to the position to effectively recruit, train, evaluate, motivate, delegate, and monitor their activities.- Develop and manage LATAM Import/Export training programs for direct reports- Anticipate, research, and advise the business regarding the impact of Export regulation changes taking into consideration: knowledge of orders and shipments, business product lines and business systems, manufacturing requirements, processes, logistics, and financial performance
