.Experienced Professional**Latin America Power Market Modeler****LET'S TALK ABOUT YOU****Your Profile**- Strong energy market domain expertise for RLA especially in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, and Peru.- Ability to evaluate third-party and government forecast data sets and generate a Siemens Energy point of view.- Strong background performing plant and market future outlooks to support PPAs and capacity expansion plans.- Strong knowledge of power plant characteristic modeling and cost-based dispatch logic.- Ability to perform stochastic and deterministic system optimizations using SDDP and Aurora required.- Strong background in statistics, advanced analytics, and visualization.- Demonstrated experience in minimizing actual vs. predicted results for advanced large-scale data systems.- Fluent in Spanish and English. Knowledge of Portuguese beneficial but not required.- Power flow analysis and gas production cost modeling experience preferred but not required.- Experience working in agile teams and adjusting scope to meet sales deadlines.- Experience working remotely.**Your Responsibilities**- Manage Region Latin America (RLA) market models using SDDP and Aurora.- Research and update plant and market changes and incorporate them into the modeling software. Collaborate with IT team on data ingestion and curation process.- Refine model by minimizing back cast actual vs. predicted variances and ensure future plant behavior reflects shifting thermal demand appropriately.- Provide quarterly backlog forecasts and present changes to the forecast and the inputs into it.- Provide solution value calculations.- Provide a point of contact to the region for Prescriptive Marketing organization (which you are part of) in co-ordination with the RLA business partner, who is based in Orlando, FL - requiring an orientation/training period which will include heavy travel to Orlando for a period of up to 8mos.**Your Opportunities for personal growth**- Join a team that prides itself in its ability to deliver business relevant insights underpinned by effective visualizations of market data.
