.**Job Description Summary**: Come join the CF34 team! The CF34 platform has 3 engine models, more than 800 customers and over 6,000 engines flying. It's also the only Aviation program fully supported by GEIQ: Repair, Mechanical Design, Performance, Controls, Analysis, PDE, PSE, Systems and more. The CF34 LCE Design team has ownership across the -3/-8/-10 engine lines covering all Turbomachinery Modules.We are looking for an experienced engineer skilled and passionate on the Mechanical Design discipline.**Roles and Responsibilities**- Provide Mechanical Design Engineering support to improve or resolve design, repair, supplier or field issues.- Lead the solution of complex high-impact technical problems with mínimal supervision.- Concurrently work on multiple projects, monitoring progress and quality, and ensuring schedule requirements are met.- Coach and mentor others in the mechanical design assessments of assigned tasks.- Document technical data generated to substantiate the assigned components, assemblies and/or systems consistent with engineering policies and procedures.- Work within the guidelines of applicable GE Policies and Procedures, Engineering Standards, Design Customer Operating Procedures, Specifications, Government and Commercial Standards, and special security requirements.- Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments.- Participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews for internal and external customers.- Effectively communicate and provide recommendations to internal customers through the analysis, preparation, and presentation of technical data.- Interact with engineers from multiple disciplines within GEIQ and globally.**Required Qualifications**- BS degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.- Familiar with gas turbine engine operation.- Proven experience as Lead Mechanical Design Engineer with knowledge in Stress, LCF, HCF, Bolted Joint, Material Properties, Manufacturing processes.- Tolerance, GD&T and Stack-up Knowledge.- Able to perform Engineering hand calculations and usage of technical standards.- Proven knowledge of Ansys and NX design.- Proficient oral and written communication skills in English.- Presentation Skills: Ability to communicate with Senior Leadership.- Demonstrated ability in managing multiple own projects.- Strong problem-solving skills.- Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership experience.- Effective problem identification and solution skills.**Desired Characteristics**- Turbomachinery Design experience in Airfoils, Rotating Parts, Structures or Combustors.- Ability to adapt, be flexible and responsive with deliverables.- Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn
