We are preparing to commence a bulk sample test mine as part of a larger mine development. With a focus on operational excellence, we are seeking a highly experienced Lead Cost Controller/Scheduler to join our team and ensure that our projects are executed efficiently and within budget.Job Overview: The Lead Cost Controller/Scheduler will play a critical role in the success of Vizsla's mining operations, overseeing the cost control and scheduling functions for the bulk sample test mine and subsequent mine development phases. The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering, project cost controlling/management or extensive experience working with engineers in the mining industry, coupled with hands-on experience as the lead cost controller on active mining projects. This role requires a deep understanding of the mining project lifecycle, including the planning, execution, and cost management of mine development and construction activities.Key Responsibilities:Cost Control:Develop and implement a robust cost control system tailored to the mining project lifecycle, including budgeting, cost tracking, variance analysis, and cost forecasting.Produce dashboards for data visualization for key stakeholders.Monitor and report on project expenditures, commitments, and forecasts, ensuring alignment with project budgets and identifying cost-saving opportunities.Lead cost review meetings with project stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of cost performance.Scheduling:Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including critical path analysis and progress tracking, to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and site teams to align schedules with project needs and ensure that any delays or changes are accounted for in both cost and schedule forecasts.Regularly update schedules to reflect project changes, optimizing resource allocation and identifying potential bottlenecks.Collaboration with Engineering and Operations:Work closely with engineering teams to integrate technical inputs into the cost and schedule management processes.Provide cost and schedule expertise to support the successful delivery of engineering, procurement, and construction activities.Reporting and Documentation:Prepare detailed cost and schedule reports for senior management, stakeholders, and external partners, ensuring that all project performance metrics are accurately captured.Work closely with the document controller to ensure that cost and schedule documentation is properly maintained and updated as the project evolves.Key Qualifications:Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
