**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Lead the team through field issue resolution and support our customers.
- Define, develop and test software requirements related to control and diagnostic systems, vibration monitoring and on wing testing.
- Maintain direct communication with multiple product support engineering teams around the world.
- Effectively communicate and provide strong recommendations to internal and external GE customers through the analysis, preparation and presentation of technical data.
- Prepare and present the solution material during the technical reviews.
- Coach and mentor others in the analysis, design, test and/or integration required to define and support the implementation and validation of software requirements that meet business needs.
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated to substantiate design decisions.
- Review self and other person's deliverables and provide status of the team to key stakeholders.
- Define technical schedule cost and/or program requirements.
- Conduct assessments and develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems.
- Support team's technical proficiency and growth.
- Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
- In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
- A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members

**Required Qualifications**
- Advanced experience in Engineering/Technology & Controls Engineering.
- Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Advanced programming and validation and verification skills in: C, MATLAB and model based environments such as SCADE or SIMULINK.
- Advanced knowledge on validation platforms such as NPSS and FADEC dry rig.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership experience with engineering projects with several contributors.
- Advanced knowledge of software development processes and DO178B.
- Demonstrated skills to quickly learn new programming languages and technologies
- Demonstrated ability in managing projects across functions
- Capable of coaching others to accomplish assignments
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
- Effective written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish
- Demonstrated ability in establishing common goals and objectives
- Disciplined, self-driven, can work independently without supervision; shows initiative and is proactive.
- Effective written and ability to communicate with Senior Leadership.
- Effective problem identification and solution skills

**Desired Characteristics**
- Experience in Data Mining techniques and Machine Learning algorithms
- Knowledge on commercial aviation engines diagnostics, such as fault determination, annunciation and storage, on ground testing and engine vibration.
- Knowledge on Aircraft Communication Protocols
- Knowledge on aircraft engines performance and operational parameters
- Experience in prototyping analytic solutions for complex problems
