What will you be responsible for?
Implement health and hygiene programs to support the site in alignment with corporate strategies and initiatives.
In this role you will
**Here is a snapshot of what your day will look like**:
- Adapt and Implement comprehensive health and hygiene programs to promote the well-being of all site personnel, ensuring adherence to Newmont Standards, regulatory requirements, and standard methodologies.
- Conduct regular health risk assessments and workplace inspections to identify potential health hazards, Implement measures to mitigate risks, and enhance workplace conditions.
- Facilitate content development for health training and education programs for employees, focusing on topics such as occupational health, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies, health professionals, and other partners to ensure ongoing compliance with health regulations and to stay updated on standard methodologies and advancements in occupational health.
- Oversee running of the site medical clinic
- Assurance of medical surveillance in accordance with regulations and Newmont requirements
- Lead the Health and Hygiene teams, understand their role as a team leader, and can translate this into their day-to-day interactions.
- Understands the behavior of individuals and the effects on the team, resolving conflicts.

Working Conditions
Where you will be located!
The position is in country/continuous, located in Peñasquito Mazapil, Zacatecas Mexico.
The mine is a remote site located in a warm, semi-dessert climate.
Accommodation is in a camp/village environment near the workplace.
The rotational roster will be 5 days on site and 2 off.
The position may be required to travel to domestic and international sites.
