**In this role, you will**:
- Lead the design of new technology initiatives aligned with future state platforms, supporting business goals and drivers.
- Set the technical direction on specific projects by delivering implementable architecture designs that account for technology modernization in a practical and iterative way. Make balanced decisions that account for time-to-market, reduction of technical debt, supportability, and business needs.
- Identify, promote, define, and design practical and innovative technology solutions in line with business and technology strategies managing from qualified idea, concept/business requirements through design.
- Promote the most effective and efficient means of delivering technology products and services through reuse, sharing, buying vs. building, etc.
- As needed, create working code prototypes to demonstrate proper design principles and technology best practices.
- Participate in design reviews and code reviews to ensure conformance to proposed designs and general best practices.
- Help research and prototype emerging technologies that advance digital transformation.
- Manage and ensure compliance with Chubb technology platforms roadmap and architectural principles.
- At least 2 years of system integration and/or data integration experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in API design and/or data/object modeling.
- Past experience with hands-on coding in a modern programming language (e.g. Java, C#, Javascript, Python, C/C++, etc.), either for proofs-of-concept or production delivery.
- At least 1 year of DevOps experience.
- Bachelor's Degree, Computer Science or Engineering degrees preferred.
- Experience in cloud solution design and implementation of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS and hybrid models
- Insurance or Financial Services background a plus.
