.**Job Description Summary**: The Design-to-Value Lead Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will support a cross-functional team comprised of engineering, sourcing, supplier quality, and manufacturing engineering, to assess and identify opportunities within existing MRI products and sub-systems to streamline designs, optimize the supply chain, and leverage supplier expertise to deliver total landed cost reduction targets.GE Healthcare is a leading global innovator in medical technology and digital solutions with more than 100 years of experience in the healthcare industry and approximately 50,000 employees worldwide.**What you'll do**:- Lead Supplier Quality Engineering and Supplier Quality Development within the design-to-value initiative as part of the MR Path to Leadership, delivering cost out opportunities through design-based productivity.- Lead supplier activities including qualifications, action plans, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence to optimize capability, capacity, and total quality, specifically within supplier transfer and new product launch areas.- Develop, execute, and manage SQE project elements and timelines for short and long term cost out initiatives.- Deploy technical expertise and judgement to solve problems.- Deploy interpersonal and negotiating skills to bridge supplier and GE healthcare resources and explain complex information to others in straightforward situations across a global supply chain.- Support business cases development and execution through comprehensive cost, benefit, and return on investment analysis with a specific focus on design for manufacturability, quality control, and packaging.- Support Disruptive Cost Workouts (DCWs) across both NPIs and existing systems to identify and meet cost reduction targets across sub-system inputs (e.G., Tier 2+), systems, and processes.**What you'll need**:- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic, Electric, Industrial, Electronic engineering or similar.- 5 to 10 years of experience working in the manufacturing industry.- An advanced level of conversational English is required.- ** Deep knowledge and experience with mechanical industry segment (i.E fabrication, machining, metal forming, welding, sheet metal, etc ) throughout product lifecycle (design > manufacturing >inspection and acceptance)**:- Excellent communication skills: plain and clear communicator, truth teller, influencer in written and oral form- Strategic thinking: Ability to synthesize information to insights and turn it into actionable plans- Process focused with demonstrated ability to collaborate, influence and problem solve- Strong execution skillset and experience including business case development, project plans, and wing-to-wing ownership and accountability.- Previous experience in regulated medical device company.GE Healthcare is an Equal Opportunity Employer where inclusion is essential
