Job Description- The Lead Validation Technician is a member of the Design Quality Engineering team, under mínimal supervision of the Hardware Validation Lab.
Supervisor, supports the planning, execution of electrical, mechanical and environmental validation testing for the Automotive Division products in our Design center in Tijuana, Mexico._Specific Responsibilities:- Assists the HW DQE Lab Supervisor in scheduling internal or external testing, ensuring the resources (equipment-technical personnel) is operating at maximum efficiency with proper security.- Support ongoing operations of the Validation Test laboratories including procurement of supplies, equipment maintenance and calibration program.- Initiate and implement improvement projects to add capabilities, improve quality or reduce costs of testing and related departmental processes.- Assists the Validation Engineering team in performing a wide variety and more complex range of duties such as updates, verification, adjustment and troubleshoot of malfunctioning equipment.- Support the Validation Engineering Team in development implementation of new validation test methods or improvements to existing procedures and methods.- Prepare data and test reports that accurately document test conditions, sample results and findings.- Support the development of local test capabilities to meet automotive validation requirements.- Train validation technicians on advance technical matters.- Travel up to 15% in support of training and validation projects.
**Skills**:- Experience 4+ years of electrical, mechanical, climatic and reliability testing experience.- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and excellent interpersonal skills are required.- Demonstrated great attention to detail.- Familiarity with LabView/TestStand or other test software development experience preferred.- Audio experience preferred.- Lean/5S experience preferred.- Must have a flexible style that accommodates working on multiple projects in collaboration with members of various organizations and project teams.- Must be a self-starter who performs well under limited guidance; is detail-oriented, andhas a strong commitment to project deadlines.- Must be fluent in English.
