Assignment location: Reynosa - DeWalt.
- Provide on-site development engineering support.
- Conduct technical investigations and determine the need for design changes.
- Recommend and qualify solutions to issues and provide engineering documentation as needed.
- Approval authority for all proposed material substitutions.
- Generate and lead specific projects in support of warranty, reliability, total cost and quality improvement objectives.
- Participate in the disposition of deviant materials and components. Disposition First Piece Inspection discrepancies for mature products.
- Drive manufacturing and supplier use of and adherence to REA process.
- Lead the warranty reduction process.
- **Lead Resident Engineering is required to manage and assign product portfolios to each team member**:
- As needed lead a group of Engineers either for specific project objectives or in general to accomplish portfolio objectives based on portfolio grouping. As leader of a group this Role is responsible for meeting group metrics.
**Education and Experience**:
- BS or equivalent in engineering discipline.
- 4+ years' experience in design of high-volume electromechanical systems.
- 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment.

- Knowledge of CATIA V5, Windchill, and SAP, preferred.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office programs.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (80%).
